Sysfore Technologies will undergo an assessment
against the Capability Maturity Model for Software
(SW-CMM) towards the beginning of next year,
aiming to be assessed at
CMM Level 3.
Developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering
Institute (SEI), the SW-CMM is a respected
industry yardstick used to measure the maturity
of software development processes. With the
achievement of CMM Level 3 status, we hope to
prove our capability to measure and improve
performance in the areas of time-to-market,
overall product quality, cost of development
and project planning.
We have instituted our own internal software
development processes aimed at the highest levels
of quality through discipline, rigorous process
and best practices. Achieving CMM Level 3 status
recognizes the "Defined" level of CMM. This
means that the software process for both management
and engineering activities is documented, standardized
and integrated into a standard software process
for the organization. All projects use an approved,
tailored version of the organization's standard
software process for developing and maintaining
software.
Our Software Development Lifecycle explains
in detail the process of engaging a client in
Custom Application Development.
